Obituary

SHREWSBURY
Mitchell M. Estaphan, 93, of Shrewsbury, died peacefully at home, Tuesday, August 3, 2010, surrounded by his loving family. He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Nancy A. (Grosso) Estaphan; three sons, Mitchell A. Estaphan and his wife Karin of Dartmouth, Anthony J. Estaphan and his wife Cynthia of North Grafton, Francis P. Estaphan and his wife Laurie of Millbury; seven grandchildren, Michelle, Courtney, Matthew, Andrew, Lacey, Lila and Lindsey, and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his three sisters Sadie, Rose, and Emily, a brother Charles, and is survived by his brother George of Worcester.
Mitchell was born in Worcester, son of the late Isar and Adele(Salman) Estaphan and resided in Shrewsbury for most of his life. He worked at Graton & Knight Co., Buffalo Beef, Norton’s, and Wyman-Gordon, spending most of his work years as a machinist at George Meyers Manufacturing Co. He was a member of the Greendale Men’s Club. He was also a loyal Red Sox fan, passing on his devotion to his children and grandchildren. Most of all, he enjoyed any occasion spent with his family.
The Funeral will be held Saturday, August 7 from CALLAHAN & FAY BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 61 Myrtle St. Worcester with a Mass at 10 AM in St. Mary’s Church, 640 Main St. Entombment will follow in Notre Dame Mausoleum, Worcester. Visiting Hours will be held Friday, August 6, from 5 to 8 PM at the funeral home.
