Ronald H. Quimby, 66, of Stark, NH, died of cancer at the home of his daughter in Hooksett, NH August 2, 2010.
He was born in Brockton, MA May 5, 1944 to Charles and Wilma (Hall) Quimby. He grew up in Raymond and Nottingham and was a graduate of Raymond High School, class of 1962. He lived most of his life in the Raymond, Nottingham area and had been a resident of Stark, NH since 2004.
Mr. Quimby was a self-employed general contractor.
He enjoyed snowmobiling and especially enjoyed spending time at his camp at Nash Stream. He also loved feeding hummingbirds.
He was a member of the Groveton Trail Blazer’s and the NH Draft Horse Association.
Family members include his wife of 26 years, Nancy E. (Severance)(Albin) Quimby of Stark, NH; two sons, Keith R. Quimby of Northwood, NH and James E. Quimby of Raymond, NH; two step daughters, Tammy Petroski and Brenda Albin, both of Hooksett, NH; 8 grandchildren; Jessica Petroski, Anthony Petroski, Christopher Quimby, Kasey Quimby, Nicholas Quimby, Zachary Quimby, Kayla Quimby, and Preston Quimby; two sisters, Pamela Andre of North Carolina and Gail Dye of Raymond, NH; several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a grandson, Jonathan Albin.
The funeral service was held Saturday, August 7, 2010 in the funeral home.
Burial was at the convenience of the family.
