PHELPS, LEO "JACK" JACKSON, 77, passed away July 31, 2010 at Riverview Hospital in Noblesville, IN.
He was a Methodist by faith and was an Air Force veteran in the Korean War. He retired as an Inspector for the U.S. Department of Defense after 30 years of service. Jack was a member of the America Legion and V.F.W. of Cicero, Indiana.
He is preceded in death by his loving wife of 49 years, Marilyn Miners Phelps.
Survivors include his children, Tracy Phelps and Christopher Phelps (Sheri); grandsons, Nicholas, Jesse, Josh, and Daniel Phelps; brother, Festal "Pat" Phelps; and sister, Vada Verree Kirby.
Funeral service will be noon Wednesday at Owen Funeral Home, 5317 Dixie Highway, with burial in Evergreen Mausoleum. Visitation will be Tuesday from noon-8 and Wednesday after 10 a.m.
