Obituary

WEBSTER, MA- Anna A. (Koprowski) Kuchachik, 89, of Upland Avenue, died Saturday, July 31, in Saint Vincent Hospital, Worcester, with her family at her side. Her husband of 53 years, Tony Kuchachik, died in 1998.

She leaves a son, John A. Kuchachik and his wife Cheryl of Ashland; a daughter, Judith A. Fletcher and her husband Dr. William O. Fletcher of Appleton, WI; 5 grandchildren, Kara, Torey and Jake Kuchachik, and Lauren and Audrey Fletcher; nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a sister, Mary Podurgiel of Jewett City, CT.

She was born and raised in Jewett City, the daughter of John and Mary (Nietupska) Koprowski. She resided in Adams before moving to Webster in 1967.

Mrs. Kuchachik was a nurse’s aide at Oakwood Rehab & Nursing Center for 10 years before retiring in 1983. Previously, she had been a warp tender at a textile mill in Jewett City.

She was a member of Sacred Heart of Jesus Church and formerly a member of Saint Mary’s Church in Jewett City. She enjoyed hunting and fishing with her husband. She devoted her life to her family.

The funeral will be Wednesday, August 4, from Scanlon Funeral Service, 38 East Main St., with a Mass at 11:00 AM in Sacred Heart of Jesus Church,16 East Main St. Burial will be in Carey Cemetery, Canterbury, CT. Calling hours are from 4:00 to 7:00 PM Tuesday, August 3, in the funeral home. Donations in her name may be made to Webster Manor Patient Activities Fund, 745 School St., Webster, MA 0l570.
