TEWKSBURY - Marie Theresa (Sutton) Mann, age 84, died peacefully surrounded by her family at home in Tewksbury, Saturday July 31, 2010, after a courageous battle with cancer. She was the beloved wife of the late Robert F. Mann who died in 2003. She was born in Boston, August 19, 1925, a daughter of the late John and Josephine Sutton. She was raised in Somerville and graduated from Somerville High School. She moved to Tewksbury in 1954.
She worked as a clerk at the Lawrence IRS, was a member of St. William's Parish and Tewksbury Golden Age Club, as well as a volunteer for the Tewksbury Senior Drop-in Center.
She is survived by a son; Robert W. "Bubba" Mann of Tewksbury, two daughters; Carol M. "Auntie" Mann of Franklin, NH, Patricia A. "Pudgy" Brothers of Tewksbury, two grandchildren; Jeremy Brothers of Boston, Stacey (Brothers) Burke and her husband Patrick of Tewksbury, one great granddaughter; Madison Burke of Tewksbury.
She was the mother of the late Richard P. "Dee" Mann, the sister of the late Dorothy Beattie and John Sutton.
Her Funeral was August 4, at St. William's Church, followed by her burial at Tewksbury Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to Friends of the Elderly c/o 175 Chandler Street, Tewksbury, MA 01876, will be appreciated.
