Maureen C. (Ford) O’Brien 78, a longtime Franklin resident, died Friday July 30, 2010 at her home with her family at her side. She was the wife of Kevin R. O’Brien.
Born in New York City, June 21, 1932 a daughter of the late Patrick and Molly (O’Donahue) Ford, she was raised and educated in New York, and had been a Franklin resident since 1973.
Mrs. O’Brien was a retired sales clerk and worked at the Franklin Mill Store, and the former Hit or Miss in Franklin. She also served as secretary for the family business Regis & Associates.
She was a communicant of St. Mary’s Church, and a longtime member of the Legion of Mary. She was also an avid bingo player. Mr. & Mrs. O’Brien were married in New York on October 27, 1956, and celebrated their 53 wedding anniversary last year.
Surviving in addition to her husband are 3 daughters Kathleen Medrek in New Hampshire, Eileen Carr of Waltham, and Maureen T. O’Brien of Franklin, a brother Lawrence Ford of New York, and 3 grandchildren.
She was the sister of the late Joan Kelly.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend her funeral Tuesday August 3rd, at 9:15AM from the Charles F. Oteri & Son Franklin Funeral Home 33 Cottage St. Franklin, www.oterifuneralhome.com, with a funeral Mass in St. Mary’s Church 1 Church Sq, at 10AM.
Interment will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery.
