Ralph W. Werbicki, 88, of Mineral Spring Avenue, died Wednesday, July 28, 2010 at his home. He was the beloved husband of the late Madeline M. (Williams) Werbicki.
Born in Providence, he was a son of the late William and Louise Werbicki.
He was a decorated WWII Navy Veteran. A former machinist at Brown & Sharp, he later retired from Ward Baking Company where he was a driver. He was also an avid golfer.
He is survived by his step daughter, Debra T. Morais; nieces and nephews: Carol Jones, Ann Schayer, Susan Alukonis, Patricia Calabro, Jean Aichile, Ann Bayha, Joseph, Virginia and Michael Werbicki. He was the brother of the late Nell Corbett, Marge Alukonis, Mary “May” Godfrey, Helen Famigletti, and Joseph, John, Bernard and Edward Werbicki.
His funeral will be held Monday at 10am in Church of the Master, 15 Valley Street, Providence. Burial with Military Honors will be in RI Veterans Cemetery. Visitation Sunday 5-7pm. In lieu of flowers, donations to Make A Wish Foundation, 1 State Street, Suite 100, Providence, RI 02908.
