LLOYD M. THOMPSON JR.Lloyd M. Thompson Jr., 58, of Newton, a retired teacher, died suddenly Nov. 17, 2003.Born in Weymouth, he had lived in Newton for many years. He received his BA in History from Northeastern University in 1968. He served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War and had received several citations for meritorious service. He taught at the Grover Cleveland Middle School in Boston for many years and retired in 1992. He had also taught in the Hingham and Lexington school systems. For the last 10 years he had worked as a produce handler at Wilson Farms in Lexington.Mr. Thompson is remembered by his family as an avid swimmer and hiker who loved to walk his dog. He also attended several music events at Grace Episcopal Church in Newton.He is survived by his wife Wendy S. Wilson, his daughter Michaela Thompson of Roslindale, his parents Lloyd M. and Jane (Barrett) Thompson of Scituate, his brother Bruce Thompson of Natick, and his sisters Barbara Thompson of Scituate, Susan Thompson of Stoneham, and Betsy Thompson of NH.A memorial service will be held on Sat. Nov. 22, 2003 at 11 AM in Grace Episcopal Church 76 Eldredge St. Newton Corner.Donations, in lieu of flowers may be made to Grace Church Music Fund 76 Eldredge St. Newton MA 02458.Arrangements by Eaton & Mackay Funeral Home Newton Corner.
