Laconia-----Bennie J. Novak, Jr., 59, of 23 Keysor Court, died at the Lakes Region General Hospital on Thursday, July 22, 2010.
Bennie was born October 31, 1950 in Laconia, the son of Ora (Cormier) and Bennie J. Novak, Sr.
He was a lifetime resident of Laconia. He served in the U. S. Air Force during Vietnam and had been employed at the Lakeview Golf Club for twelve years before retiring in November, 2009.
Bennie was a member of the American Legion Wilkins-Smith Post #l and the Laconia Rod & Gun Club.
Bennie loved the Red Sox and the New England sports team. He was a very loyal friend and his word was his bond. He lived life on his terms. “Life is like a river you have to flow through.”
Survivors include a brother, James J. Novak, of South Carolina; two sisters, Lorraine T. Benoit of Laconia and Claudette R. Saunders of Gilford and several nephews and nieces. He was predeceased by both of his parents.
According to Bennie’s wishes, there will be no calling hours or funeral service.
A celebration of his life will be held on Thursday, July 29, 2010 from 5:00-7:00PM at the Laconia Rod & Gun Club, 358 South Main Street, Laconia, N. H. 03246.
Burial will be in the family lot in Sacred Heart Cemetery, Laconia
