Donald L. White, Sr., 78, of Londonderry, NH, died Saturday July 24, 2010, in Parkland Medical Center in Derry, NH. He was born in Portsmouth, NH on January 12, 1932, a son of the late Charles and Elvira (Stockwell) White, and had been a lifelong resident of Londonderry. Mr. White was a US Air Force Korean War veteran, and was a member of the American Legion Post #27 in Londonderry, and the VFW Post #483 in Nashua, NH. He had been employed for Ingersoll-Rand Co. in Nashua for 20 years, retiring in 1994. Mr. White enjoyed spending time with his extended family.
He is survived by his wife, Alice (Ordway) White of Londonderry; two sons, Donald White Jr. of Londonderry, and Ronald White of Windham, NH; one daughter, Angela Joyce of Belmont, NH; six grandchildren; three great grandchildren; two sisters, Gloria O'Leary of Methuen, MA, and Doris Joyce of Londonderry; as well as several nieces and nephews.
Following cremation, calling hours were held on Thursday, July 29th from 4:00 - 8:00pm in the Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 290 Mammoth Rd., Londonderry. A memorial service was held on Friday at 10:00am in the funeral home. The burial followed in the NH State Veterans Cemetery, 110 Daniel Webster Hwy., Boscawen, NH.
