Winfree, Margaret (Shaw) Deacon Gentry, 89, of Louisville went to be with her Heavenly Father on Friday, July 23, 2010 at Park Terrace.
She was born in Shepherdsville, KY. Margaret was a member of Riverport Community Church and a teacher’s assistant in kindergarten and daycare programs.
Margaret is preceded in death by her son, Bob Deacon, Jr.
She is survived by her husband of 30 years, Leslie E. Winfree; children, Barbara Blankenship (Jerry), Timothy Gentry (Lana) and Debra Coley (Dennis); step-children, Jerry Gentry and Ronnie Gentry; sisters, Dean Keith and Betty Sowalski; daughter-in-law, Brenda Deacon; 14 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; one cousin and many nieces and nephews; and a very special friend who is like a daughter, Jane Payton.
Funeral service will be 10am on Monday at Owen Funeral Home, 5317 Dixie Highway, interment to follow in Cedar Grove Cemetery, Shepherdsville, KY.
Visitation will be from 12-8pm on Sunday and after 9am on Monday
