Katherine V “Kay” (O’Neil) Munn, 82, of Kingston, formerly of Dorchester entered into rest surrounded by her loving family on July 22 at Life Care Center in Scituate.
Born in Norwood, MA, she was the youngest child of the late Frank and Edith O’Neil. Along with being a homemaker, she ran a home mailing business. She enjoyed reading, shopping, gardening and walking, but nothing compared to the love she had for her family.
Beloved mother of Joseph King of RI, Christopher King and his wife Lisa of TX, Charles King and his wife Jill of Easton, Ruthann McGill and her husband Craig of Kingston, and Cathy Weinberg and her husband David of NY. She is the proud Grandmother of Jennifer Royster, Christyn Bartlett, Marc Champagne, Tyler, Cameron and Narissa McGill, Michelle Heed, Amanda Marino, Sean King, Jennifer Antebi, Matthew Paul, and Alex King. Also survived and loved by Kelsey Billings and 13 great-grandchildren that followed.
Funeral services will be held at the Shepherd Funeral Home, 216 Main Street (Rte 106), Kingston on Tuesday July 27 at 10:30 a.m. Calling hours will be held Monday July 26 from 6-8 p.m. Friends and family are invited. Interment will be at the MA National Cemetery Bourne, MA. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the David J. Hanson Scholarship Fund c/o Rockland Trust, 184 Summer St. Kingston, MA 02364.
