Frank J. Wandyes, 92, of Greenville died on Monday, July 19, 2010 at Miriam Hospital in Providence. He was the husband of the late Dorothy M. (Leahy) Wandyes.
Mr. Wandyes was born in North Tonawanda, NY and previously lived in Warren and Barrington before moving to Smithfield four years ago.
Mr. Wandyes was an Engineer for the Cole-Hersee Company in Boston until retiring. He was an avid fisherman and a WWII Army veteran and Purple Heart recipient.
He is survived by his children, Wayne F Wandyes of Dayville, CT and Barbara J. Wandyes of Boston; three grandchildren, Andrew, Ryan and Kyle; four great grandchildren and a sister, Ann Kuligowski of North Tonowanda, NY. He was the brother of the late Joseph F. Wandyez.
His funeral will be held Friday at 10:00AM in Barrington Carmelite Monastery, 25 Watson Avenue, Barrington, RI 02806. Visitation Thursday 5-7pm in the ANDERSON-WINFIELD Funeral Home, Route 44 at Greenville Common, Greenville. Burial in RI Veterans Cemetery, Exeter. In lieu of flowers donations to Barrington Carmelite Monastery.
