Mr. Joseph L. Analetto, age 60, of Melrose and Scituate formerly of Medford entered into eternal rest Saturday, November 15th, following a brief illness. Born in Somerville he was the son of the late Pietra (Sutera) and Antonio Analetto. Mr. Analetto worked for many years as a general contractor and was a coowner of Analetto Bros., Inc, Titan Gas and Car Wash, wich has been an established Medford business since 1938. Mr. Analetto was very active in several service and fraternal clubs in and around the Boston area. He was a member of the Ancient and Honorable Artillery Company, Military Order of World Wars, Lawrence Light Guard Assoc., Kiwanis Club of Boston, Scituate Harbor Yacht Club and the Propeller Club of Boston. He also served in the National Guards. Joe had a great joy for the outdoors and was an experienced angler who shared many once in a life time tuna and bluefish expeditions with his family and friends. For him the sea was the last hold of freedom. Joe was also an avid skier and made the crisp, cold, white peaked mountains his winter escape. Joseph's life was a quest for the freedom to explore life as he saw it.
In addition to his parents, Joseph is preceded in death by his brother Leonard Analetto.He is survived by his beloved wife Jane (Garvey), his two sons; Joseph and Matthew and his daughter Pietrina Analetto all of Melrose. He is also survived by his siblings, Thomas Analetto of Medford, Anthony Analetto and his wife Carol of Scituate, Rosemary Analetto-O´Neil and her husband Robert O´Neil of Jupiter, FL and a sister-in-law Estia Analetto of Belmont and Florida. Joseph is further survived by many loving nieces and nephews.
Funeral from the Dello Russo Funeral Home 306 Main St. Medford, Wednesday at 10 AM. Followed by a funeral mass celebrated in St. Clement Church, 71 Warner St. Medford/Somerville at 11 AM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours Tuesday 2-4 & 7-9. Services will conclude with burial at Oak Grove Cemetery, Medford.
