Frank Eppolito Jr.
...Korean War Veteran; 81
TEWKSBURY - Frank Eppolito Jr., age 81, a veteran of the Korean War, died Monday evening at his Tewksbury home, following a lengthy period of declining health. He was the beloved husband of A. Ann (Parisi) Eppolito, with whom he had celebrated a 24th wedding anniversary this past May 9th.
He was born in Johnston, Rhode Island, July 25, 1928, a son of the late Frank and Margaret (Mekuto) Eppolito. He lived the greater part of his life in Rhode Island before moving to Burlington, MA, and finally Tewksbury.
During the Korean War, he served in the U.S. Army, stationed primarily in Alaska.
He worked as an industrial floor finisher and cleaner, and was also an accomplished carpenter and chef. He worked as a cook at both St. William's Rectory in Tewksbury, St. Joseph The Worker Shrine, and the Contemplative House in Lowell.
Besides his wife, he is survived by a step-son, John Theberge of Kingston, NH; a step-daughter, Paula Crudale of Haverhill; three grandchildren, Tabitha Rosten of Minneapolis, Linda Theberge of Van Buren, ME, and Michael Theberge of Haverhill; a brother and sister-in-law, Anthony and Helen Eppolito of CO; a sister, Anna McClymont of FL; a dear friend, Fr. William Smith, O.M.I. residing in Tewksbury; and several nieces and nephews.
His Funeral Mass at was held Thursday, July 23, in St. William's Church, Tewksbury. Burial with Army Honors followed in Highland Memorial Park, Johnston, RI.
