EPPING, NH: Norma V. (Anderson) Wentworth, 82, died Thursday, May 20, 2010 in the Exeter Hospital from injuries sustained in a motor vehicle accident.
Born in South Portland, Maine on November 11, 1927, she was the daughter of the late Norman and Vera (Doughty) Anderson. She was a graduate of South Portland High School and received her Certified Nurse's Aide Certificate from Whittier Vocational Technical School in Haverhill. Norma had resided in Haverhill for many years before moving to Epping in 1998.
Norma was employed at the Hewlett Packard Company in Andover for twelve years before retiring in 1986. She had also once worked at the former AT&T Technologies in North Andover and in the shoe industry in Haverhill for many years.
She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Exeter and the Red Hat's of Epping. Norma was also an active volunteer at the Exeter Hospital and at the Senior Center in Exeter.
She is survived by her daughter, Linda L. Rodgers of Haverhill, a son, Ronald N. Wentworth of Hinsdale, NH, five grandchildren, Ann Marie (Wentworth) Putnam of Olympia, WA, Heather Wentworth and Erick Wentworth both of Exeter, NH, Diana (Rodgers) Douphinette of Groveland and Michael Rodgers of Haverhill, thirteen great-grandchildren, Michael, Tamara, Adam, Patrick, Kristin, Stephanie, Brandon, Erik, Josh, Calob, Catlynn, Jasmine and Ava, two great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was also predeceased by her grandson, Rick Rodgers and two sisters, Mary Lou Houle and Marcia Herbert.
Her funeral service will be held on Tuesday in the Linnehan-Grondin Funeral Home, 129 Kenoza Avenue, Haverhill at 6 p.m. Visitation will be held prior to the service from 4 - 6 p.m. Committal Prayers will be held on Wednesday in the Willow Grove Cemetery in Newton, NH at 10 a.m. Relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend.
