GREECE, NY: Helen E. (Mills) O'Meara, 91, died Tuesday, May 18, 2010. She was the wife of the late Phillip O'Meara who died in 1986.
Born in Lexington, Massachusetts on February 16, 1919, she was the daughter of the late Warren and Ella Mills.
Helen was employed at the former Western Electric in North Andover until her retirement in 1981. She was a member of the Greece Senior Citizen Council on Aging. Helen proudly received the Greece Chamber of Commerce Senior Citizens Award in 2006.
She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Frank and Janet O'Meara of Groveland, two daughters and sons-in-law, Sharon Marcoux of Salem, NH, Patricia and Keith Allen of Rochester, NY and Joe Baldino of Pittsford, NY, eight grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, her sister-in-laws and several nieces and nephews. She was also predeceased by her daughter, Gale Baldino.
Her funeral service will be held Monday, in the Linnehan-Grondin Funeral Home, 52 Salem St., Bradford at 12 p.m. Visiting hours will be held prior to the service from 10-12 p.m. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made in her memory to the American Heart Association, 20 Speen St., Framingham, MA 01701. Interment will be held in the Riverview Cemetery, Groveland.
