PLAISTOW: Helen (Belanger) Warren, 75, died Thursday, August 13, 2009 at her home. She was the wife of James Lynch and the late Robert E. Warren.
Born in Mont Jolie, Canada on April 2, 1934 she was the daughter of the late Albert and Agnes (Lantagne) Belanger. Helen never forgot her French-Canadian ancestry and was known to share her favorite recipes from there.
A very gracious hostess, Helen was best known for her cooking, canning and housekeeping. She was very supportive of her husband, James during his running career as well as many frequent stops at the A-1 Deli. Helen most of all cherished her family and the time she spent with them.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Michael R. and Iris Warren of Plaistow, NH, a daughter, Mary H. Warren and her significant other, Norman Ma of Bradford, three grandchildren, Seth Chase and Jesse and Jennifer Warren, four sisters, Ferdinand Belanger, Rita Belanger, Rolande Belanger and Rene Belanger all of Quebec. She also leaves many nieces and nephews and of course her cherished dog, Angel.
Her funeral service will be held on Tuesday in the Linnehan-Grondin Funeral Home, 129 Kenoza Avenue, Haverhill at 2 p.m. Visiting hours will be held prior to the service from 12 - 2 p.m. Relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Helen's memory may be made to the Merrimack Valley Hospice, 360 Merrimack St., Bldg. 9, Lawrence, MA 01843.
