Obituary

HAVERHILL: Robert F. "Windy" Wynne, 73, died Thursday, June 25, 2009 in the Kindred Nursing Center, Waltham following an extended illness. He was the husband of Geraldine M. (Costa) Wynne.

Born in Dorchester on December 5, 1935, he was a lifelong resident of Haverhill. He attended St. James Grammar School and was a graduate of Central Catholic High School in Lawrence.

Mr. Wynne was employed as a quality assurance inspector at the former Western Electric Company in North Andover for twenty years before retiring due to a disability in 1975. He was a life time member of the Ayers Village Fire Dept. and the Plaistow Fish and Game Club. He was also a life member of the Telephone Pioneers of America and a longtime communicant of All Saints Parish in Haverhill. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.

In addition to his wife of fifty-two years, he is survived by his daughter, Geralyn M. Grammont of Haverhill, four sons, Michael F. and his wife, Cathy Wynne of Epping, NH, Mark J. and his wife, Kim Wynne of Fernandina Beach, FL, Timothy G. Wynne and his fiancée, Christina Foster of Newton, NH and Matthew R. and his fiancée, Eleanora Munroe of Newburyport, seven grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, a brother-in-law, John and his wife, Martha Costa of Hampstead, NH, several nieces, nephews and many dear friends. He was predeceased by three brothers, Fred Moriarty, Earl Brin and John Kelley.

His funeral Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday in the All Saints Church, Bellevue Ave., Haverhill at 10 a.m. Visiting hours will be held on Monday in the Linnehan-Grondin Funeral Home, 129 Kenoza Avenue, Haverhill from 4 - 7 p.m. Relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in his memory to All Saints Church, 120 Bellevue Ave., Haverhill, MA 01832. Interment will be held in St. Patrick's Cemetery, Haverhill.
