Shearer E. "Sherry" (West) Johnson, age 59, died Tuesday, March 10, 2009 in The Oxford Manor Nursing Home in Haverhill following a brief illness. She was the wife of David Johnson.
Born in Haverhill on January 31, 1950, she was the daughter of the late Calvin West and Lilla (Woodbury) Perreault. She was a lifelong resident of Haverhill and a graduate of Haverhill High School, Class of 1968.
Sherry was employed in the loan servicing department at the former Andover Bank for many years.
In addition to her husband of twenty-five years, she is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Teresa and Keith Parrish of Lake Forest, CA, her son and daughter-in-law, Gerald and Rebecca Langlois of Los Angeles, CA, two grandchildren, Brandon Kaley and Hannah Parrish, both of Lake Forest, CA, an aunt, Tina Ferguson of Haverhill, an uncle, Ralph Woodbury of Huntington Beach, CA, her stepfather, Joseph Perreault of Orange, CA, and many nieces and nephews. She was also predeceased by a brother, Calvin West.
The family will be receiving relatives and friends on Friday, March 13, in the Linnehan-Grondin Funeral Home, 129 Kenoza Avenue, Haverhill, from 4:00-8:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in her memory to the American Cancer Society, 30 Speen St., Framingham, MA 01701.
