Barbara Anne (Chase) Noone, age 77, formerly of Haverhill, died Sunday, August 17, 2008, at the Greensburg Care Center, Hempfield Twp., Pennsylvania.
Mrs. Noone was born in Haverhill on April 12, 1931, the daughter of the late Frederick L. and Loretta (Russell) Chase. She was educated in Haverhill schools, and was graduated from Haverhill High School, Class of 1949. She then was graduated from St. Joseph School of Nursing, Nashua, NH; and did Post-Graduate studies at Chicago Lying-In Hospital focusing on OB/GYN studies.
She had worked as a Registered Nurse on Air Force Bases in Maine and Louisiana for several years. She also worked as a Supervisor and Head Nurse at the former Hale Hospital, Haverhill. In addition she was employed by Doctors' General Hospital, Plantation, FL for over 20 years until her retirement.
She was married for several years to Richard F. Noone, Lt. Col., USAF (Ret.).
Mrs. Noone enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.
She is survived her loving son Richard M. Noone and his wife Mary Ann of Blairsville, PA; siblings, L. Russell Chase and Frederick R. Chase of Plaistow, NH, and Joan Langlois and Frances Dandurant of Atkinson, NH; two grandchildren, Michael Noone and his wife Amanda of Circleville, OH and Sarah Noone of Blairsville, PA; and sister in-law, Maureen Noone of Bradford. She was the mother of the late Michelle P. Noone, who died in 1967.
Family Funeral Services will be held graveside Monday, November 17, in the Noone Family Lot at Greenwood Cemetery (directions below), East Broadway, Haverhill.
