
Parodi, Natale F., age 92 of Haverhill, died Tuesday, February 12, 2008 at Penacook Place, Haverhill.
Mr. Parodi was born in Newburyport, on August 19, 1915, the son of the late Natale L. and Lucy (Hill) Parodi. He had been a resident of Haverhill most of his life and had resided previously in Fremont, NH and Groveland. He was educated in Haverhill schools and was a graduate of Haverhill High School.
He was a veteran of World War II, having served as a First Lieutenant in the U.S. Army Air Corps for three years with the 791st Bombardment Squadron and the 467th Bombardment Group. He received military awards of the Distinguished Flying Cross and the Air Medal with two Oak Leaf Clusters. He received Service Ribbons for European-African-Middle Eastern with four battle stars, Ardennes, Rhineland, Northern France and Central Europe.
Mr. Parodi had been employed with Towle Manufacturing Co., Newburyport, and as a display manager with Almy's until his retirement in 1980. He was a member of Charles C. Dame Lodge, F&AM.
He is survived by his wife, Lillian B. (Brearley) Parodi; his daughter, Lauren L. Valyou and her husband Robert L. Valyou of Haverhill; and his brother, John Parodi of Missoula, Mont. He was the father of the late Dana R. Parodi, who died in 1974.
Funeral Services were held in the C. Frank Linnehan & Son Haverhill Funeral Home, 129 Kenoza Avenue, Haverhill. Rev. James Dodson of North Andover officiated at the funeral home. Interment was in Riverview Cemetery, Main Street, Groveland.
