Queenan, Joseph E., age 52 of Haverhill, died Thursday, February 21, at the home of his sister in Newton, NH.
Mr. Queenan was born in Lawrence on March 11, 1955, the son of the late Philip L. and Mary R. (Doucette) Jewett and was educated in Lawrence schools and Lawrence High School.
He was a veteran of the Vietnam Conflict, having served in the U.S. Army with the 10th Mountain Division. He had been a resident of Haverhill since 1985 and previously resided in Lawrence. For the past two years he had been employed at Wal-Mart, Seabrook, NH; and previously he was a self employed floor finisher. Joe was a prolific research writer and an avid photographer. He was a member of the River of Life Church, Bradford.
He is survived by seven sisters, Darlene M. White and her husband Bert of Hampton, NH, Deborah J. Dunford and her husband Robert of Hampstead, NH, Jacqueline Jendrick of Salem, NH, Ann G. Butterworth and her husband Albert of Newton, NH, C. Marie Carver and her husband Roy of Cleveland, TN, Theresa R. Queenan of Salem, NH, and Jeannine Dacey and her husband Timothy of Haverhill; his three brothers, Philip L. Jewett and his wife Cheryl of East Hampstead, NH, Michael Queenan and Timothy Queenan of Haverhill; and several nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late Patricia M. Queenan of Haverhill, who died May 30, 2006.
Funeral Services will be held Tuesday, February 26, at 10:00 a.m. in the C. Frank Linnehan & Son Haverhill Funeral Home, 129 Kenoza Avenue, Haverhill. Pastor Dave Braxton of the River of Life Church will officiate. Interment with full military honors will be in Immaculate Conception Cemetery, Barker Street, Lawrence.
