TAUNTON – Mary F. (Giannone) Stankiewicz, wife of Robert Stankiewicz, died at her East Taunton home surrounded by her family on July 17, 2010.
She was 50.
Born in Boston, she was the daughter of the late Frank and Loretta (Surro) Giannone.
Mary grew up in Stoughton and attended Stoughton schools.
Later in her adult life, she became a certified travel agent and was employed by Lotus Travel in Canton for several years, more recently working as a sales associate for Staples in Raynham.
Mary enjoyed photography, fishing, boating, and camping, and had an adventuresome, loving spirit about her.
Besides her husband, she leaves two sons, Robert L. Stankiewicz and his wife Althea R. of E. Taunton, and George E. Horton, Jr. of Stoughton; two brothers, Charles Giannone of Stoughton, and Joseph Giannone of Taunton; a sister, Patricia Connolly of Easton; two grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services will be held at the Silva Funeral Home, 80 Broadway on Thursday, July 22nd at 7:30 p.m.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend.
Calling Hours will be held at the funeral home on Thursday, from 5 to 7:30 pm., prior to the service.
Burial will be at the MA National VA Cemetery, Bourne on Friday, July 23rd, with Committal Services scheduled for 12:45 p.m.
