Jeanne V. Welch, 79, of Manchester, died July 14, 2010 at the Elliot Hospital with her loving family by her side.
She was born in Manchester on August 26, 1930 the daughter of Horace A. and Veronica (Bernotas) Vaillancourt. She was educated in the local school system and graduated from St. Joseph High School for Girls in 1948.
Prior to retirement, she had been employed at the Geisel Library at St. Anselm College for over 25 years.
Family members include three daughters, Lisa Welch of Goffstown, Col. Patricia Welch of Macon, GA, and Mrs. Denis (Maureen) O’Neil of Hooksett; one son, Henry P. Welch Goffstown; her grandchildren, Jana, John, Chris, Will, Kaleigh, Keira, Shannon, and Lindsay; 4 great-grandchildren, Will Jr., Matthew, Halloran, and Savannah; a brother, Joseph Vaillancourt of Durham, NH and a sister Helene Canotas of Manchester; nieces, nephews and cousins.
A Mass of Christian burial was celebrated on Saturday, July 17, 2010 in the Abbey Church at St. Anselm College. Burial followed in St. Joseph Cemetery.
