Obituary

Vincent T. “Vinny” Workman, 25, of Brockton, died Monday July 12th, after a brief illness.
He was born in Brockton grew up in Abington and Halifax. He was the son of Karen Stagliola of Brockton and the late Thomas Workman.

He was a 2004 graduate of Silver Lake Regional High School.

Vinny was employed as welder for the New England Welding Co. in Avon and previously was in the Local Laborer’s Union, while working for NES Traffic Safety Co. in Avon.

He was a member of the Boy scouts, enjoyed baseball, soccer and being involved in Karate, especially boxing. He was boxing at the Farrell Gym in Quincy, where he received his Golden Glove. He also was attending the Petronelli Gym in Brockton.

In addition to his mother Karen Stagliola of Brockton,he is survived by his 2 daughters, Julia and Genevieve Workman and their mother Mary Duran, all of Brockton, his brothers Steven Workman of Rockland and Alex Workman of Brockton, his grandmothers Ethel Workman and Corrine Stagliola : also several aunts uncles and cousins. He was also the grandson of the late Russell Workman and Vincent Stagliola.

His services will be held on Friday July 16th at 9:00AM from the Blanchard Funeral Chapel Plymouth Street (Rt. 58 at the rotary) Whitman, followed by a funeral service at 10:00AM in The Church of the Holy Nativity, 8 Nevin Rd, Weymouth, MA. Burial will be the St. Francis Xavier Cemetery, Weymouth, MA. Relatives and friend are invited to attend his visitation on Thursday July 15th for 4:00-8:00PM.
