AUBURN-Henry Prescott, 84 of 3 Westwood Drive died Thursday, January 24th in St. Vincent Hospital. His wife of 24 years Hazel F. (Brennan) Prescott died in 1977. He leaves 2 daughters Carol M. Short of New York City and Linda Brunell of Auburn; 2 brothers Chester Prescott of Cincinnati, OH and Daniel Prescott of Mystic, CT; 3 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.
He was born in Providence, RI the son of John and Helen (Jasewicz) Pryekop and had lived many years in Auburn. He was an Army veteran of WWII serving in the Pacific Theater and was awarded the Purple Heart. Mr. Prescott had worked as an engineer at Paul Revere Insurance Company in Worcester for many years, he retired in 1982. He was a member of the Auburn Racquet Club and several veteran groups.
The funeral service and burial are private. Calling hours will be Sunday, January 27th from 3:00 until 5 PM in O’Connor Brothers Funeral Home, 592 Park Avenue, Worcester.
