Tankersley, Wanda L., 65, of Louisville passed away at Christopher East Nursing Home on Monday, July 5, 2010.
She was a member of St. Thomas More and a Marine veteran.
Wanda is preceded in death by her parents, David and Hettie Tankersley; brother, Ronnie Tankersley; and sister, Patricia Smith.
Survivors include her loving friend, Denise Dougherty; siblings, David L. Tankersley III, Hovey Tankersley (Doris), Linda Werner (Chelsea), Jerry M. Tankersley, and Dale Tankersley (Terri).
There will be a memorial service 7pm on Thursday at Owen Funeral Home, 5317 Dixie Highway.
Vistiation will be from 12pm till time of service on Thursday.
Memorial contributions can be made out to the American Cancer Society or University of Kentucky.
