Methuen, MA – Margaret A. “Margie” (Malone) Pare, 94, years of age died Thursday July 8, 2010 at the Caritas Holy Family Hospital.
Born in South Braintree Margaret was the daughter of Patrick J. Malone and Rose (Lawlor) Malone.
She was a graduate of Lawrence High School class of 1934. For many years Margaret had been employed by the Internal Revenue Service in Andover before her retirement.
Mrs. Pare was a communicant of Our Lady of Good Counsel Parish of Methuen.
According to her children Margaret in her 50’s was very proud to accomplish snow skiing, and in the 70’s with her husband Roland became active in community square dancing. She enjoyed knitting and crocheting and most importantly her love for family.
Margaret is survived by her husband Roland E. Pare.
Survivors include one son; Ronald J. and his wife Maryann Pare of Manchester, NH, and one daughter Mary Jane and husband Stanley P. Das, Jr. of Methuen, grandchildren Andrea R. Das, Eric J. Das and Matthew J. Pare stepchildren; Peter Prinz, Jennifer & husband Mark Kalbfleisch, sister-in-law Bertha Malone of Methuen, brother and sister-in-law Gerard and Helen Pare of Lowell, and three greatgrandsons. - several nieces and nephews.
Margarets family would like to personally thank the Nevins Nursing Home and Caritas Holy Family Hospital staff for the exemplary care given to their Mom.
A Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Tuesday morning at 11 o’clock in Our Lady of Good Counsel Parish/St. Theresas Church 22 Plymouth Street in Methuen. Burial will follow in Elmwood Cemetery.
Family and friends will be warmly received on Tuesday morning from 9 a.m. - 10:30 a.m. at the Kenneth H. Pollard Funeral Home 233 Lawrence Street in Methuen.
