Isabel (Mello) Fragoza, age 91, of Somerset passed away July 7, 2010. Born in Fall River, she was widow of former Police Lt. Antone Faustino Fragoza and daughter of the late John Cabral Mello and Maria Jose (Amaral) Vasconcellos, formerly Mello Isabel was a sewing machine operator at Anderson Little and then at Rondo Mfg. She was a member of the I.L.G.W.U and of St. John of God Church.
She is survived by 3 children: Beverly Sousa of S. Attleboro, Gregory Fragoza of Heathrow, FL and Gary Fragoza of Cumberland, RI; 1 sister: Frances Camara of Somerset; 5 grandchildren: Stephanie and Michael Sousa, Lauren and Caroline Fragoza and Jennifer Breza; 5 great grandchildren: Alexa Shumosic, Sean and Ryan Sousa, Thomas Jr. and Daniel Breza and a niece & a nephew. She was sister of 2 late step-brothers: Tony and Constantino Vasconcellos.
Her funeral will take place from the MANUEL ROGERS & SONS FUNERAL HOME, 1521 N. Main St. Monday at 8 A.M. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. John of God Church at 9 A.M. Interment in St. Patrick Cemetery. Calling hours Sunday 4-8 P.M.
