Randy Lee Dotson, 53, of Peoria died just before midnight on Monday July 5, 2010.
He was born on Nov 9, 1956 in Creve Coeur to Gene and Kathryn (Scoby) Dotson. He married Elizabeth (Becky) Waldbeesser on Dec 11, 1980 in Peoria. She survives.
Randy deeply loved his family, especially his children, daughter Tracy (Eric) Miller, and sons Matthew Dotson and Joshua Dotson all of Peoria. He was anxiously awaiting, becoming a first time grandfather, as Tracy and Eric are expecting a son, being named Kaden Alexander, to be born any day now. Randy will now be a guardian angel to watch over his grandson.
Randy is also survived by his mother Kathryn DuBoff of Peoria and sisters Gene (Carroll) Huber of Laura, Vicki Davis of St. Petersburg, FL and Kelly Roberson of Bartonville and brother Mark Dotson of Peoria as well as several nieces and nephews, aunts and uncles and numerous cousins. He was preceded in death by his father and by two infant brothers Harold Joseph and Paul David.
Randy always had a love for big trucks and spent most of his life driving tow trucks and semis. He had previously owned and operated River City Towing for a number of years. He was of the Catholic Faith.
A remembrance gathering will be held at the Eagles Lodge on East Lane in Peoria on Sunday July 11th from 12pm-4pm to celebrate Randy’s all too short life.
