Florence M. Jamieson

...formerly of Tewksbury; age 101

Spring Hill, Fla. - Florence M. (Boudreau) Jamieson, a former resident of Pratt Street inTewksbury, died peacefully Wednesday morning, Nov. 12, at her Spring Hill home. She was thewife of the late Robert A. Jamieson, who died in 1975.

She was born in Cape Breton, Nova Scotia, on Sept. 27, 1902, one of twelve children of Danieland Maryann (Martell) Boudreau. She was raised in Cape Breton, and graduated from QueenAnne’s High School in Nova Scotia. She emigrated to the U.S. in 1919, and lived the greater partof her life on Pratt Street in Tewksbury. She moved to Florida in 1979.

As a resident of Tewksbury, she was a communicant of St. Dorothy’s Church in Wilmington, andsince moving to Spring Hill was a communicant of St. Francis Cabrini Church.

She is survived by three daughters, Lorraine M. and her husband Bernard Boudreau, and EleanorM. Corsetti and her husband Robert Roche all of Coco Beach, Fla., and Brewster, Mass., BeatriceM. and her husband Walter Collins of Spring Hill; two sons, Robert W. and his wife Kathleen“Kay” (Valente) Jamieson of Wilmington, and retired Deputy Police Chief of Tewksbury, WalterD. and his wife Katherine (Morris) Jamieson of Tewksbury; 14 grandchildren; 26 greatgrandchildren; 25 great great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.

She was the last surviving child of twelve.

Her Funeral Mass was held Monday, Nov. 17, in St. Dorothy’s Church, Wilmington. Interment was in Tewksbury Cemetery.
