SOMERSET … Doris J. (McCarthy) Vieira, 86, of Westport, died June 22, 2010.
She was the widow of John Vieira.
She died at Somerset Ridge Center.
She was born in Fall River a daughter of the late Cunningham and Albina (Paradis) McCarthy and lived in Westport since 1983.
Mrs. Vieira loved dogs and all animals and enjoyed reading the paper, baseball, football, golf, and basketball.
Survivors include a brother Alfred McCarthy of Westport, 2 sisters: Louise Francoeur of Swansea and Maureen Gagnon of Fall River, several nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Bertha Chouinard, Pauline Audet, Norman, Richard, and Robert McCarthy.
Memorial Mass to which relatives and friends are invited will be held Thursday at 10AM at Our Lady of the Immaculate Conception Church, Thomas Street, Fall River. Inurnment in Beech Grove Cemetery, Main Road, Westport.
