Tramontana, John F. Jr. of Middleboro formerly of Hingham, Norwell and Whitman, died suddenly at home on Thursday, July 01, 2010.
Beloved husband of 47 years of Carolyn ( Henn)Tramontana of Middleboro. Devoted father of John Tramontana III, of CA, Scott Tramontana and his wife April of So. Carolina, Donna Tramontana and her husband Mario Barker of Hanson and Allison Cox and her husband Ed of Brockton. John was also lovingly survived by 8 grandchildren. Son of the late John and Phyllis (Diperri) Tramontana. Brother of the late Salvatore and Joseph Tramontana. Nephew of Jennie Melchionda of East Boston.
Raised in Hull, John was a 1959 graduate of Hull High School. He attended Wentworth Institute and was a graduate of Massasoit College with a degree in Fire Engineering. John was a dedicated Hingham Fire Fighter from 1968-1992 climbing the rank to lieutenant. He was a member of the Bare Cove Fire Museum, Sons of Italy lodge 1850 in Hingham and the Sons of Italy in Brockton Christopher Columbus Lodge #216. John enjoyed camping, fishing, flea markets, yard sales and collecting old postcards. John was an avid sports fan supporting the Red Sox, Patriots and Bruins . John spent many winters in florida with his wife Carolyn and many friends.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours Wednesday, July 07, 2010 3 - 7 PM in the Pyne Keohane Funeral Home, 21 Emerald St. (off Central St.), HINGHAM. A Funeral Service will be celebrated on Thursday, July 08, 2010 at 11AM in Pyne Keohane Funeral Home.
Burial in Beechwood Cemetery, Cohasset.
