Obituary

GLOUCESTER: George E. Frazier, 73, of 5 Herrick Court, died Wednesday evening, June 30, 2010 in the Addison Gilbert Hospital following an extended illness. He was the husband of Alice (Powers) Frazier. They had shared forty-six years together.
Born in Gloucester on October 23, 1936, he was the son of the late James E. and Melinda (Seavey) Frazier. He was a lifelong resident of Gloucester and had attended Gloucester public schools.
George was the owner and operator of Seacoast Security for many years. His favorite pastime was sitting in the window of his Herrick Court home, with its view of the harbor, watching the world go by.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by four children, George Frazier, Jr., Larry Frazier, Sueann, wife of Mark Gouin and Helen, wife of Michael Dennis, five sisters, Mary Kniagher, Jean Levesque, Sarah Spoon, Bertha, wife of Ed Todd and Nancy Lee, wife of Ron McElraft, three brothers, John, husband of Inez Frazier, James, husband of Doris Frazier, Robert, husband of Norma Frazier, ten grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his former spouse, Judith McLoud, two sisters-in-law, Virginia, wife of Bill Cail and Doreen Collins; two brothers-in-law, Bob, husband of Carol Powers and Alfred, husband of Nancy Powers and many nieces and nephews. He was also predeceased by three brothers, Earl, Billy and Donald “Donkey” Frazier and two brothers-in-law, Tim Collins and Jimmy Spoon.
His funeral service will be held on Saturday morning in the Pike-Grondin Funeral Home, 61 Middle Street, Gloucester at 10 a.m. Visitation will be held prior to the service from 9 - 10 a.m. Relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend.
