WORCESTER-Frank J. Maciejka, 86, formerly of Freeland St. and Pleasant Valley Dr. died Friday, Nov. 8th after a long illness. He leaves his wife of 60 years, Rita (Buzulis) Maciejka; a daughter, Susan Cooney of Littleton; a son, David Maciejka of Merritt Island, FL; a sister, Genevive Powers of Worcester, 7 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. A brother, John and 2 sisters, Florence and Margaret and a granddaughter, Kelly Maciejka predeceased him.
He was born in Worcester the son of Vincent and Mary (Kulpesa) Maciejka and lived here all his life. He was a WWII Army veteran. Mr. Maciejka worked for the U.S. Steel Corp. for 35 years before retiring. He was a member of St. Peter’s Church.
The funeral will be Friday, Nov. 14th from LINDQUIST LUNDIN FUNERAL HOME, 36 Butler St. with a Mass at 11:00 AM in St. Peter’s Church, 931 Main St. A calling period will be from 9:00 until 10:30 AM on the morning of the funeral. Burial will be in St. John’s Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. Peter’s church, 931 Main St., Worcester, MA 01610.
