Obituary

James V. Esposito, 90, of Concord, N.C., died June 28th at his residence in the company of his family. He was born in Chelsea, son of the late Joseph and Carmella (Digima) Esposito.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his loving wife, Blanche (Palazzi) Esposito.

Jim proudly served his country in the United States Army during WWII, assisting in part with the Liberation of France. After the war, he went on to work at various night clubs in the Boston and South Shore area. He later went on to own a restaurant called the Jolly Roger. He then became the manager of the Lenox Hotel in Boston and the SeaCrest Hotel in Falmouth for a number of years. He lived most of his life in the Massachusetts area and “retired” in Bradenton, FL., where he worked at the Peridia Golf Club.

He is survived by his four children Richard Esposito of East Boston, Lyn McDaniel of Pembroke, Traci Locke and her husband Andrew of Concord, NC and Jaimi Esposito of Bourne; also seven grandchildren, Nicholas Esposito, Noah McDaniel, Christopher, Jennifer and Tyler Locke, Anthony Esposito and Joshua Preciado.

The family will receive friends on Thursday July 1st from 7:00-9:00PM in the Blanchard Funeral Chapel Plymouth Street (Rt. 58 at the rotary) Whitman. His funeral service will be held on Friday July 2nd at 11:00AM at the Blanchard Funeral Chapel Plymouth Street (Rt. 58 at the rotary) Whitman. Interment will follow the service in the Massachusetts VA National Cemetery in Bourne, MA at 2:30PM. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in his name to the Hospice & Palliative Care of Cabarrus County, 5003 Hospice Lane, Kannapolis, NC 28081 or to your local Hospice & Palliative Care.
