Silvina (Faria) Terceiro, age 89, of Somerset, passed away June 28, 2010. She was the widow of Manuel Raposa Terceiro and the daughter of the late Manuel Botelho Faria & Guilhermina (Costa) Faria. Before residing in Somerset, Silvina had lived in Fall River & previously in Swansea. Prior to retiring, she worked for SOVA Outerwear as a Machine Operator & previously for Firestone Tire & Rubber Co. for 29 ½ years. She was a member of the Firestone & Swansea Senior Citizens Clubs and also a member of the Daughters of Isabella. Silvina was a parishioner of St. Thomas More Church and the former St. Michael Church in Ocean Grove, Swansea.
She is survived by her three sisters: Mary Mello of Dartmouth, Margaret Furtado of Somerset and Alexandria Viveiros of Rehoboth; a special godchild: Mary Benevides and several other nieces & nephews. She was the sister of the late John, Manuel & Joseph Faria and Mary Constance Pacheco.
Her funeral will take place from the MANUEL ROGERS & SONS FUNERAL HOME 1521 N. Main St. THURSDAY at 8:00 A.M. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Thomas More Church, Somerset at 9:00 A.M. Interment in St. Patrick Cemetery. Calling hours WEDNESDAY 4-8 P.M.
