Mary Rita (Moran) Reardon, 90, died early Friday morning, June 25, 2010. She was the loving wife of the late Raymond F. Reardon, with whom she shared sixty years of marriage.
Born in Portage, P.E.I., Canada on July 15, 1919, she was the daughter of the late Michael and Eunice (Ready) Moran. She was raised and educated on Price Edward Island and came to the States at age 19. She married her late husband on June 18, 1944 and had been a Danvers resident since 1957.
Mrs. Reardon was employed for over twenty years at First National Supermarkets. She was a communicant of Saint Mary of the Annunciation Church.
She is survived by her children, Nancy Corning and her husband Mark of Danvers and Michael Reardon and his wife Nancy of Danvers, her daughter-in-law, Catherine Reardon of Middleton, her siblings, Leona Draper and Ronald Moran, both of Canada, 7 grandchildren, and 5 great-grandchildren. In addition to her husband, she is predeceased by a son, John Reardon, and her siblings Gerald, Everett, Edna, and Verna.
Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, June 29, 2010 at 9AM in Saint Mary of the Annunciation Church, 24 Conant St., Danvers. Burial will follow in Annunciation Cemetery, Danvers. Relatives and friends are invited. As requested there are no visiting hours. In lieu of flowers, donations in Mrs. Reardon’s name may be made to Hospice of the North Shore, 75 Sylvan St., Danvers, MA 01923.
