Obituary

WEBSTER – Robert M. McLachlan, 56, of 8 Clark Street, died Sunday, November 9, at home.

He leaves his wife of 35 years, Elke (Schroer) McLachlan; a daughter, Nichole M. Croteau of Dudley; his mother, Dorothy A. (Downs) McLachlan of Webster; a brother, Laurence J. McLachlan of Webster; a sister, Joan F. Bruso of Webster; 2 grandchildren, Kara Ostrokolowicz and Casey Croteau; many nephews and nieces.

He was born in Webster, the son of Laurence McLachlan. He was a graduate of Bartlett High School.

Mr. McLachlan was an Air Force veteran of the Vietnam conflict.

He was a truck driver for the P. W. Wajer Co in Dudley for several years. He was a member of Saint Louis Church. He enjoyed fishing and playing horseshoes.

The funeral, with military honors, will be held Saturday, November 15, from the Scanlon Funeral Service, East Main Street, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM in Saint Louis Church, 14 Lake Street. After cremation, burial will be at the convenience of the family.

Calling hours will be Friday, November 14, from 7:00 to 9:00 PM in the funeral home.
