Betty Jane Winn age 87 of Metamora passed away at 4:45pm Thursday June 24, 2010 at Snyder Village in Metamora. She was born June 2, 1923 in Hannibal, Missouri to John W. and Lula (Moore) Sanders. She married James Orval Winn Sept. 14, 1946 in Hannibal Missouri. He passed away June 4, 2000.
Surviving are her children; Donna (Larry) Woltzen of Metamora, Jane (James) Hahn of Waukesha WI, James (Minna) Winn of Sycamore, and Dale Winn of Metamora. Six grandchildren, and six great grandchildren. She also survived by one brother Harry (Dorothy) Sanders of Plainsville Il. She was preceded in death by one sister and two brothers.
Betty was a homemaker and a member of Metamora Christian Union Church, where she was a member of Womens Philathea and Womens Guild and a former Church Council member.
Services will be 10:30am Monday June 28, 2010 at Metamora Christian Union Church. Rev. Gary Salm officiating. Visitation will be Sunday from 4pm until 8pm at the Mason Funeral Home Metamora Chapel. Graveside services will follow at 4:30pm Monday at the Grandview Burial Park in Hannibal, Missouri. In lieu of flowers memorials may be given to her church and Snyder Village.
