Obituary

WEBSTER – Stanley E. Ostrowski, age 76, of 13 Emerald Avenue, died Sunday, November 9, in Hubbard Regional Hospital after a long illness.

He leaves his wife of 54 years, Barbara M. (Mrozinski) Ostrowski; a son, Leonard S. Ostrowski of Webster; 2 sisters, Sandra Markiewicz and Jean Marshalkowski, both of Webster; 4 grandchildren, Angela Giroux, Amy, Amanda and Andrew Ostrowski; one great grandson, Jake Giroux, and many nephews and nieces.

He was born in Mayfield, PA, son of Stanley A. and Pauline (Bilski) Ostrowski.

He attended the Dudley Jr. High School and was a WW II Coast Guard veteran.

Mr. Ostrowski was a machinist at the Sjogren Tool and Die Co. in Oxford for many years, retiring in 1989.

He was a member of Saint Joseph Basilica and enjoyed ice fishing and all sports.

The funeral with Military Honors will be held on Wednesday, November 12, from the Scanlon Funeral Service, East Main Street, with a Mass at 10:00 AM in Saint Joseph Basilica, 53 Whitcomb Street. Burial will be in Saint Joseph Garden of Peace Cemetery.

Calling hours will be Tuesday, November 11, from 6:00 to 8:00 PM in the funeral home.
