Dorothea Louise Morin

...44 years in Tewksbury; active in Bingo; 82

TEWKSBURY - Dorothea Louise (Gorse) Morin, 82, died Thursday morning, Jan. 24, at SaintsMemorial Medical Center in Lowell after a brief illness. She was the wife of the late Charles E.Morin Sr., who died in 1988.

She was born December 7, 1919, a daughter of the late William and Julia (Crosby) Gorse, andraised in Charlestown. She lived in Somerville before moving to Tewksbury in 1957.

She was a communicant of St. William’s Church.

In her earlier years, she worked for the Sylvania Company in Woburn.She was well known in the area for her love of Bingo, and was also quite accomplished in knittingand crocheting.

She is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law; Charles Eugene and his wife Charlotte(Oakes) Morin Jr. of Lowell, William Edward and his wife Mary Ann (Coco) Morin of No.Andover, one daughter; Janice Marie Morin of Westboro, two sisters, Esther O’Brien ofMedford, Jean Worsham of Danvers, two brothers, Robert Gorse of Calif., Joseph Gorse ofMedford, five grandchildren; Michelle Morin of Lyneboro, NH, Danielle Stinchfield and GabrielleMorin both of Lowell, William E. Morin Jr. of Methuen, Mary-Beth Ham of Ayer, and five greatgrandchildren; Christian, Zachary, Colby, Trevor and Connor.She was also sister of the late William Gorse and Mary Connolly.

Her FuneralMass was held Saturday, Jan. 26, in St. William’s Church. Interment was in TewksburyCemetery.
