James F. King, 77, of Derry, NH died Monday June 21, 2010 at the Elliot Hospital, Manchester, NH. He was born in Boston, MA on November 2, 1932, a son of the late Judge and Dorothy (Wallace) King. Mr. King was a resident of Derry for 39 years formerly living in Lynn, MA. He was a graduate of Lynn Tech, Lynn, MA, Class of 1950. He served in the US Navy on the USS Yellowstone during the Korean War. Mr. King had been employed as an automotive mechanic for many years for Dobles Chevrolet in Derry and later for Birch Street Collision, also in Derry. He loved sports, especially watching his grandchildren play basketball, hockey and race automobiles.
He is survived by his wife of 49 years Yvonne (MacDougall) King, three sons, Scott King, Jon King, and James King, three daughters, Lori Nadeau, Lesa Therrien, and Ann Marie King, as well as eight grandchildren.
Calling hours were held at the Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 290 Mammoth Rd., Londonderry on Thursday, June 24th from 4 - 8pm. Funeral services were held on Friday at 1:00pm at the funeral home. Burial followed at the Forest Hill Cemetery, East Derry.
