Gilford-----Joan Kanelos, 73, of 7 Sargent Place, died at her home on Saturday, June 19, 2010. She was the widow of Thomas Kanelos.
Mrs. Kanelos was born March 12, 1937 in Boston, Mass., the daughter of John & Mary (MacKenrodt) Antonelli. She resided in Boston for several years before moving to Gilford twenty years ago.
Mrs. Kanelos was a communicant of Sacred Heart Church, Laconia.
Mrs. Kanelos is survived by two sons, Stephen Kanelos of Gilford and Thomas Kanelos of Carver, Mass.; three daughters, Ann Kanelos of Hyde Park , Mass., Diane Kukstis and her husband, Joe, of Plymouth, Mass. and Joanne McNulty also of Plymouth, Mass.; eleven grandchildren, James, Jeffrey, Michelle, Joseph, Ryan, Chris, Kerri, Sean, Kandise, Thomas and Aleksis; three great grandchildren; three sisters, Loretta Travis of Florida and Carol Sargent and Evelyn Nee both of South Boston, Mass.; two brothers, John Antonelli of Texas and Kevin Antonelli of Acton, Mass; eleven nephews and five nieces. In addition to her husband and her her parents, she was predeceased by Marion Scott, Theodore Scott, Bobby Nee, Dennis Antonelli and Harold McNulty.
Calling hours will be held from 5:00-8:00PM on Wednesday, June 23, 2010 in the Carriage House of the Wilkinson-Beane-Simoneau-Paquette Funeral Home, 164 Pleasant Street, Laconia, N.H.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, June 24, 2010 at 10:00AM at Sacred Heart Church, 291 Union Avenue, Laconia, N. H. 03246
Burial will follow in the family lot in Pine Grove Cemetery, Gilford, NH.
