COCHITUATE VILLAGE, WAYLAND: Florence Ann (Wales) Kilgore, 70, died peacefully in the comfort and care of her family on June 19, 2010 at the Metrowest Medical Center in Natick.
She was born in the family residence in Cochituate on August 9, 1939 the daughter of the late John H. Wales and J. Harriet (Vancore) Wales.
Florence is survived by her devoted and loving husband of 52 years, Westley L. Kilgore of Cochituate Village, Wayland. She was the beloved mother of Debby Anne Lynch of Columbia, S.C.; Michael J. Kilgore of Wilmington, N.C.; Leslie A. Wahl of Lake in the Hills, IL and Desiree M. Hogan of Soldotna, AK. She was the sister of Suzanne A. White of Framingham; Jane Lockwood of Delaware and Paul Wales of NY and the late Wayne Wales. She was the cherished grandmother of 7 grandchildren and one great-granddaughter. Also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Florence has been a lifelong resident of Cochituate and attended the Wayland Schools. For over 10 years she has been associated with Middlesex Savings Bank in Natick and Westborough as a Processor Clerk. She was a collector of all types of elephants, loved the color purple and was an avid Red Sox fan. She was the heart of her family and they were the center of her life. She enjoyed being with people and her home was always open to visitors. She loved family cookouts and spending time at the ocean with her husband and family. She will be greatly missed by all of the lives that she touched.
Memorial visitations will be held on Wednesday, June 23, 2010 from 5:00 to 7:00 pm and a Memorial Service celebrating her life will be held at 7:00 pm in the Bryant Memorial Chapel of the John C. Bryant Funeral Home, 56 Pemberton Rd (Off Rte 30), Cochituate Village, Wayland.
In lieu of flowers, her family requests that memorial gifts in her name be sent to the charity of the donor’s choice.
