Mrs. Mildred Virginia Shropshire Francis, age 85, of Westfield, widow of the late Moir Winfred Francis, passed away on Saturday, June 19, 2010 at Stokes Reynolds Memorial Hospital. She was born in Forsyth county on January 27, 1925 to the late Raymond David and Frances Louise Meadows Shropshire.Mrs. Francis retired from United Elastic as a Machine Operator, was a member of Brown Mountain Baptist Church and a member of Francisco Ladies Auxiliary. Mrs. Francis is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Norman and Linda Francis, Timothy and Kathy Francis, both of Westfield; three grandchildren, Zach (Nikki) Francis, Joshua (Shannon) and Ashley Francis and (Justin); three great-grandchildren, Ivye, Ava and Mason Francis; four step-grandchildren, Terry Inman, Tim Bean, Wanda Cruise, Tony Bean; one sister, Frances Fiumara of Winston-Salem; and several nieces and nephews.Mrs. Francis is preceded in death by two sisters, Iva Lee Pack and Iris Marie Shropshire and four brothers, R.D. Shropshire, Hassell Shropshire, Vernell Shropshire, Millard Shropshire.Funeral Services will be held on Monday, June 21, 2010 at Brown Mountain Baptist Church at 11 A.M. with the Rev. Eddie Carter and the Rev. Fred Chilton officiating with interment to follow in the church cemetery.
