WORCESTER___Valentin J. Komarovskis, 88, of Worcester, died Saturday, June 12, 2010. His wife, Gerda (Kuhnlein) Komarovskis died in 1969.
He leaves a daughter, Regina Doherty of Ft. Lauderdale, FL, a sister, Regina Loconto of Shrewsbury; a brother, Michael Komarovskis and wife Stella Komarovskis of Worcester and nephews and nieces; Paul Komarovskis, Angelo Loconto, Andrew Loconto, Alfred Loconto, Genevieve Poirier, and Irene Loconto. He was born and raised in Latvia, a son of Andrew and Anna (Grpinic) Komarovskis and has lived here since 1954.
Mr. Komarovskis retired from George Meyer Co where he was a machinist/draftsman. He liked to bowl, golf, watch sports and walk, and was a member of Our Lady of Czestochowa Church.
The funeral will be held on Saturday, June 19 with a Mass at 10:00 A.M. in Our Lady of Czestochowa Church, 34 Ward Street. Burial will be in Notre Dame Cemetery, Worcester. There are no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Mary's Healthcare, 39 Queen Street, Worcester, MA. 01610.
