Alexander L. Taylor, 94, of Salem, New Hampshire died on Wednesday June 16, 2010 at Parkland Medical Center, Derry, NH. Mr Taylor was born and raised in Lawrence and was a graduate of Lawrence High School. He served with The US Army during WW II . He retired from Western Electric Company, N. Andover. For over 40 years, he was a very active member and sponsor of AA. He was also an avid golfer,
His family members include his wife of 67 years, Marjorie C. (Moylan) Taylor of Salem, NH and his daughters, Sandra and her husband, Wayne Niemi of N. Andover, Marjorie Smith of Redlands, CA and Maureen and her husband, Michael DeFelice of Sandown, NH. He also leaves his brothers and sisters, James and his wife Dorothy Taylor of Methuen, Dorothy Taylor of N. Andover, Albert and his wife, Patricia Taylor of N. Andover and Paul and his wife, Mary Alice Taylor of N. Andover. He has 4 grandchildren, Alexis and her husband, Ian Smith, Jason Niemi and Michael and Sean DeFelice and a great granddaughter, Lily Niemi Moskowitz.
Calling hours will be on Monday June 21, 2010 from 2 to 5 pm at The Goundrey & Dewhirst Funeral Home, 42 Main St., Salem, NH. Funeral services will follow at 5:00 pm on Monday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the charity of the donor's choice.
