Wierer, Hermann O. 86 of Rivervale on Tuesday, June 15, 2010. He is survived by his beloved wife of 59 years, Paula, his sons Michael and Richard; his daughters-in-law Shannon Duffy-Wierer and Wendy Rhoads, and his grandson Jake. Hermann emigrated from Germany with Paula in 1954 and enjoyed a long and successful career in the automobile industry including 23 years with Volkswagen of America where he retired as head of the service organization for North America. Our family will cherish the memory of our father for his kindness, his warmth and for the many hours of conversation sharing his vast knowledge of world history, his favorite subject.
